Puberty is that phase of life when a boy or a girl gets mature sexually.

Features that are seen in boys at the time of puberty:

  1. Growth of hair in the genital area.
  2. Increase in sweating and oily skin.
  3. Voice gets deeper
  4. Increase in body size
  5. The scrotum and testes enlarge

Features that are seen in girls at the time of puberty:

  1. Breast size increases and the nipples get darkened.
  2. Hair appears in the genital area, underarms, hands, face, and legs.
  3. Uterus and ovary size increases.
  4. Menstrual cycle begins.
  5. More oil gets secreted from the skin which results in pimples.
