Liver acts as an accessory excretory organ which is concerned with the detoxification of blood.
Liver secretes a greenish-yellow fluid called bile. Bile juice breaks the large fat globules into small fat droplets and this will enhance the digestion of fat. This process is called emulsification of fats.
Liver stores excess glucose in the form of glycogen.
