Solution

Entire justification with examples: 3 Marks

Metals differ in their reactivity with acids.
The reaction of acids with reactive metals like sodium, potassium and calcium is violent. Magnesium, aluminium and zinc do not react violently. Metals placed above hydrogen in the reactivity series displace hydrogen from dilute sulphuric acid or hydrochloric acid. The tendency of metals to react with acids decreases down the
series. Metals placed below hydrogen in the reactivity series (copper, silver, gold, platinum, etc.,) do not react with acids.
