Rs.134

Let the reduced price of the coat be Rs.x

Sales tax = 8% of x = $\left(\frac{8}{100}\right)\times$ Rs. x = Rs. $\frac{2x}{25}$

Amount paid by Mia = Rs.$(x+\frac{2x}{25})$ = Rs.$\frac{27x}{25}$

As per problem, $\frac{27x}{25}$ =1809

Or, x = $\left(\frac{25}{27}\right)$$\times$ 1809 = 1675

Reduced price of the coat = Rs.1675

Hence, reduction needed = Rs.1809 – Rs.1675 = Rs.134.
