Redressal of investor grievances is one of the key components of SEBI's efforts to protect the interests of investors in securities. An investor would like to trade in securities market only if he knows how to invest, if he has full knowledge of the market, if the market is safe and there are no miscreants, and more importantly there is a strong mechanism to redress his grievances, if any. SEBI has established a comprehensive and robust investor grievance redressal mechanism and has also directed the Stock Exchanges to do the same at their level under the ministry of corporate affairs.
