Mira eats 1 packet of biscuits in a week. If she wants to buy biscuit packets for an year, how many packets should she buy?

Open in App
Solution

Number of days in a week = 7
Number of days in an year = 365 or 366
Number of days in 52 weeks = 52 x 7 = 364.
So, for 364 days she needs to buy 52 packets of biscuits.
For the remaining 1 or 2 days of the year, she will still need to buy 1 more packet.
So, total number of biscuit packets that she should buy = 52 + 1
= 53
