Monkey is at rest on a weightless rope which goes over a pulley and is tied to a bunch of bananas at the other end. The weight of the bunch of bananas is exactly the same as that of the monkey. The correct option is D remain unchanged

Here conversion of angular momentum hold. because no any external force is acting on the system. Let x be the distance between the banana and monkey. So, if monkey moves up then banana also goes up with same velocity as monkey.
if monkey accelerate up the rope, that will increase the tension in the rope and the object will pulled closer to pulley. so any case $$(x)$$ distance between monkey and banana is same.
