Solution

The process by which land water returns back to a sea or an ocean is as follows:

(i) Snow/Rain falling on the mountains melts and flows down in the form of streams and rivers.

(ii) A part of the rainwater gets absorbed in the ground(soil) and rest flows in the form of stream or rivers.

(iii) The river water after passing through various regions ultimately reaches to a sea or an ocean.

(iv) Seawater gets evaporated and enters the atmosphere in the form of water vapour. It forms clouds by condensation and falls on to the ground in the form of rain or snow. The rainwater which falls on to the ground forms various water bodies such as lakes, rivers, etc. The river water reaches sea after flowing through various regions on the land.
