The tissues responsible for transportation are xylem and phloem.

In vascular plants, xylem is a vascular tissue which will be helpful in transport of water and nutrients in the plant and phloem is the living tissue that carries organic nutrients, in particular, sucrose, a sugar, to all parts of the plant where needed.
