Solution
The type of interaction that exists in mycorrhizae is known as mutualism. It represents a close mutual relationship between a fungus and an algae or cyanobacteria which carry out photosynthesis. The fungal partner helps in the absorption of nutrients while the photosynthetic partner synthesizes food. Almost 85% of the roots of higher plants are in a mycorrhizal relationship with fungi.
The type of interaction shown by cattle egret and cattle is known as commensalism. In such type of relationship, one partner is usually benefited while the other one remains unaffected. Cattle egrets follow the cattle and feed on the flies and bugs that bother the cattle. The movement of the grazing cattle dislodges various insects from vegetation to be easily caught by egrets.
