Solution

Dear Student

Chemical reaction is the rearrangement of the molecular or ionic species of the substances present in the process.
Chemical equation is the symbolic representation of the chemical process.

Thus we can categorise the chemical reactions or sometimes in general it it can be written as categories of chemical equations. But the categories corresponds to the chemical reaction represented by the chemical equation.

Thus, the categories are :
  • 1 Synthesis Reactions.
  • 2 Decomposition Reactions.
  • 3 Single Displacement Reactions.
  • 4 Double Displacement Reactions.
  • 4.1 Precipitation.
  • 4.2 Acid-Base Neutralization.
  • 5 Combustion.
  • 6 Organic Reactions.
  • 7 Redox.
