  1. When zinc Zn reacts with dilute sulphuric acid, zinc sulphate ZnSO4 and hydrogen is produced.
  2. This type of reaction is called displacement reaction.

The chemical equation representing the reaction is written below:

Zn+H2SO4ZnSO4+H2

Hence, to prepare zinc sulphate, zinc and dil.H2SO4 is required.
