2NaCl(aq) + 2H₂O(l) → 2NaOH(aq) + Cl₂(g) + H₂(g)

NaOH = Sodium Hydroxide
Cl₂ = Chlorine gas
H₂ = Hydrogen gas

Uses-
Chlorine- Used as disinfectant in water treatment.
Sodium hydroxide- For production of soaps and detergents.
