Chromosomal translocation is an abnormality of chromosome caused by rearrangement of parts of nonhomologous chromosomes. It may result in chronic myelogenous leukaemia or CML. It occurs due to translocation of the chromosomal part between chromosome 9 and 22. This results in shorter chromosome 22. It is a blood cell cancer.
