Vitamins are classified into two types based upon their solubility:
Fat-soluble vitamins: (i) These are stored in the body's liver, fatty tissue, and muscles. (ii) The fat soluble vitamins are A, D, E, and K. (iii)These vitamins are absorbed easily by the body in the presence of fat.
Water-soluble vitamins: (i) These are not stored in the body. (ii) The water soluble vitamins are C and B. (iii) Any excess amount of these vitamins are removed from the body through urine.
