Artificial methods of vegetative propagation do not occur naturally. They are carried out by humans to get new plants of a particular type.

Cutting-

  1. The stem of the plant to be propagated is cut in such a way that each branch can be cut later and planted in soil somewhere else.

Grafting-

  1. This method of propagation requires two plants.
  2. One part is stock and another scion. They are bound together. After that, they fuse together and grow as one.

Tissue culture-

  1. Tissue culture is used to propagate plants such as orchids and chrysanthemums.
  2. It can be used for many plants.
  3. It can be used to multiply the numbers of delicate plants and endangered plants.
  4. It can be used to propagate hybrid varieties of plants.
