Solution

Adrenalin:

  1. It is secreted by the adrenal glands during stressful situations like fear, fight and flight.
  2. It stimulates the sympathetic division of autonomic nervous system.
  3. Thus, adrenalin increases the heart rate thereby increasing the blood flow to the brain and muscles to prepare the body for the ‘fight or flight’ response.
