Solution

Ovulation is the process of release of eggs from the ovaries. The process of ovulation is controlled by the hypothalamus of the brain and through the release of hormones secreted by the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland, that is, luteinizing hormone (LH). Ovulation occurs about midway through the menstrual cycle, which may then be fertilized by a sperm cell or dissolved during menstruation.
