Open in App
Solution

  • The three end products of photosynthesis are glucose, water and oxygen.
  • All three products have different fates.
Fate of Glucose:
  1. The glucose is used in following ways: Immediately consumed by the plant.
  2. Stored in the form of insoluble starch. Converted into sucrose.
  1. Fate of water: The water released at the end of photosynthesis is re-utilized in the process.

  2. Fate of oxygen: The oxygen produced as an end-product of photosynthesis is used in two ways.

  • Some amount of oxygen is used by the plants for the process of respiration.

  • The remaining amount is given out into the atmosphere through the stomata.
