Open in App
Solution

There are three types of living cells in blood: red blood cells (or erythrocytes), white blood cells (or leukocytes) and platelets (or thrombocytes). A white blood cell, also called leukocyte or white corpuscle, a cellular component of the blood has a nucleus which defends the body against infection and disease by ingesting foreign materials and cellular debris, by destroying infectious agents.
