(a) Colloids in which dispersed phase is liquid and dispersion medium is gas are called aerosols. Eg. clouds,fog, mist.
(b) Colloids in which dispersed phase is liquid and dispersion medium is also liquid are called emulsions. Eg. milk, hair cream, etc.
(c) Colloids in which dispersed phase is liquid and dispersion medium is solid are called gels. Eg. cheese,butter, jam, etc.
