  2. A recessive gene is the type of gene which is not expressed in the presence of a contrasting allele.
  3. For example, The allele for black color skin tone is recessive. Here it is not expressed unless a baby gets black color alleles from both parents, which means if both parents are black colored then only their kid will have a black color tone otherwise this allele does not express itself.
