Dear student,
1) Concave mirror is used for headlights of cars. When a lighted bulb is placed at the focus of a concave reflector, then the concave reflector collects all the diverging rays of the bulb and converts them into a powerful beam of light rays that can reach a large distance in the darkness of night and make us see things up to a considerable distance.
(2) Convex mirror is used as rear view in cars. Convex mirror is used in the form of erect and diminished image of vehicles coming from side/behind. Thus, it provides a wider field of view to the driver.
(3) Concave mirrors are used in solar furnaces, because concave mirrors are the only type of mirror that reflects light in toward a single focal point. so concave mirror could collect a larger amount of solar energy in the focus of the mirror.
