The correct option is A
₹ 240, ₹4200

Given that Cost of the article = ₹ 4000; Rate of Sales tax = 8 %

Hence the amount of sales tax = $\frac{8}{100} \times 4000$
= ₹ 240

Total Amount paid for the article = Cost of the article + Sales Tax
= 4000 + 240
= ₹ 4240
