Question

Newtons 3rd law of motion states that :
"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction on that object".
For Example :
We have an Fire Extinguisher and we are on a skateboard and we let out the nozzle of the extinguisher, we start moving in the opposite direction. But on what object does the Carbon
Dioxide from the extinguisher act on such that an equal and opposite force is acting on the skateboard which starts to move?

Solution

Force on carbon dioxide is coming from the very high pressure that is created by the container where it is stored. So container applying force on carbon dioxide and hence carbon dioxide applying force on container.
