Solution

The phloem tissue consists of four kinds of cells namely phloem parenchyma companion cells, sieve tube elements, and phloem fibers. Among these, the phloem parenchyma and companion cells are living throughout their life while sieve tube element loses Protoplasm at maturity and thus they are accompanied by companion cells which then control the machinery and working of sieve tube elements. The phloem fiber is made up of sclerenchymatous cells these are lignified and lack nucleus thus nucleated cells of phloem are sieve tube elements in association with companion cells and phloem parenchyma.
