On heating strongly, Lead (II) nitrate yields:
O2
When heaed, lead (II) nitrate gives lead (II) oxide, Nitrogen dioxide and dioxygen:
2Pb(NO3)2(s)⟶2PbO(s)+4NO2(g)+O2(g)
Owing to this property, lead (II) nitrate is used in pyrotechnics (fireworks).
