Question

On passing through a resistor, does the value of current change?

Open in App
Solution

The current doesn't change in value before and after entering a resistor. Current in a circuit or a branch will depend upon the effective resistance and not on the individual resistances in that branch. The situation is similar to water flowing through a series of pipes of different diameter, the rate of flow is same in all the pipes.
