SP of an article = Rs. 48

Loss = 20 %

$\therefore CP=\frac{SP\times 100}{100-Loss}=\frac{48\times 100}{100-20}=\frac{48\times 100}{80}=Rs.60$

Second time gain = 20 %

SP = $\frac{CP\times (100+gain\%)}{100}=\frac{60\times (100+20)}{100}=\frac{60\times 120}{100}=Rs.72$
