Solution

The correct option is D Rs 160
Let original price of one kg of tea =x Rs

Then, Original price of one kg of sugar =190x Rs

Price of tea falls by 10%

So, New price of tea =x10% of x=9x10

Price of sugar rises by 20%

So, New price of sugar =(190x)+20% of (190x)

=190x+38x5

=2286x5

According to question, Sum of new prices = 180 Rs

9x10+2286x5=180

2283x10=180

3x10=48

x=160

Hence, Original price of tea =x=160 Rs per kg
