Given, number of boys in the class = b
And number of girls in the class = g
$∴$ Total number of studens = Number of boys + Number of girls = b + g
Ratio of boys to the total number of students = b : b+g
$= \frac{b}{b + g}$
Hence, (a) is the correct option.
