Our household’s circuits are connected in parallel. Explain.

Series circuit

1. Same current flows through all the loads whether it is light, bulb, fan, AC and other household load.
2. If the same current flows through all the loads then those which require less amount of current will get burnt and which require more amount of current will not be able to cope up with other loads.

Parallel Circuit

1. In a parallel circuit all the loads are connected across each other and they have the same voltage but current divides accordingly hence households are connected in parallel circuits.
