Out of many papaya plants growing in your garden, only a few bear fruits. Give reason.

Papaya plants can occur in three sexual forms; male, female and hermaphorodites. A fruit is formed when a fertilization occurs in the
ovary of the female flower. So, if a female or a male plant is growing alone, it will produce flowers but it will not produce flowere but it will not produce fruits as both male and female plant is required for fruit formation. Hermaphrodite papaya plants will always bear fruits as their flowers contain both male and female parts.
