Out of the two dimensional close packing which is more obvious

If you are asking which is more stable or frequent,
then there is no clear answer for that because square close packed has will have less packing fraction and hexagonal close packed has more packing fraction. Both of them are sometimes desirable and sometimes undesireable, so there cannot be a yes or no answer for your question as both of them are equally likely to exist in nature.
