The compound is formed with 24 grams of compound X and 64 grams of O.

Given, X=12 grams and O= 16 grams

Since, the atomic mass of X= 12, number of atoms of X present in the compound= 24/12= 2 atoms

Also, number of atoms of oxygen present in the compound= 64/16 = 4.

Therefore, formula of the compound is X2 O4.
