Question

a farmer watched some water droplets on the margin of well watered plants on a winter mornings. Give reasons for this occurence. Why water droplets occured along the margins.

The phenomenon that the farmer observed is called guttation. It is the loss of water in its liquid phase from special openings near tip of grass blades and leaves of herbaceous plants This is an effect of root pressure and is observable at night and early morning when rate of evaporation is low.
