Minerals : Minerals are the elements or compounds, which occur naturally in the Earth’s crust. Minerals have specific chemical composition and chemical and physical properties. It is not necessary that metal can be extracted profitably from every mineral.

While ores are the minerals from which metals can be extracted profitably.

So, this is why it is said that all the all ores are minerals but all minerals are not ores.
