Are eukaryotic cells same as animal cells?

Yes, all the animal cells are eukaryotic cells. Cells have been divided into two types- prokaryotic cell and eukaryotic cell. Only organisms belonging to kingdom monera are prokaryotic like bacteria, archaebacteria, etc. While all other organisms belonging to kingdom protista, fungi, plantae and animalia are eukaryotes.
