Solution

Arteries carry blood away from the heart to various body parts while veins carry blood towards the heart from various body parts. Pulmonary artery sends the deoxygenated blood to the lungs for purification while pulmonary vein brings the oxygenated blood back to the heart from where it is sent to various parts of the body through arteries.
