Question

As we know that rubber an jelly are solids. If we apply grater force they can be easily compressed. So why we say that solids are incompressible. Give reasons?

Solids have the property of a definite shape and volume. Rubber band also has a definite shape, volume. Only when some external force is applied, due to the property of elasticity it changes its shape. However, after the force is withdrawn, due to its intermolecular force of attraction it resumes its original shape and size.

Jelly on the other hand is a colloid and cannot be definitely categorized as a solid or a liquid.
