Solution

Cross pollination is a type of pollination, in which pollen is transferred from the anther of one flower of one plant to stigma of another flower of another plant of same species. Naturally, cross pollination between two different species of plants is impossible. This phenomenon is known as pollen incompatibility.

Cross pollination can occur between different species of flowers through hybridization. Hybridisation is the process that involves the mating of organisms which belongs to different varieties or species to create a hybrid organism. This hybrid organism contains characteristics of both the parents.
