Question

difference between afferent and efferent artioles

Open in App
Solution

The afferent and the efferent arterioles are present in the kidney. The afferent arteriole is a branch of the renal vein that brings blood containing nitrogenous wastes to the nephrons for purification. The nephrons are the structural and functional unit of the kidneys. The efferent arterioles are the branches of blood vessels that come out of the glomerulus and it ultimately drains the veins which take the blood back to the heart.
