differentiate between bectericial and becteriostatic antibiotics

Becteriostatic antibiotics :- these are the antibiotics which limit the growth of bacteria by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis, DNA replication. If high concentration of becteriostatic antibiotics is given, it may also act as becteriocidal agents.
e.g tetracyclin


Becteriocidal antibiotics:- these are the chemical agents which directly kills the bacteria by various methods.
e.g penicillin (it prohibit the synthesis of cell wall of bacteria)
