Open in App
Solution

Dear student!
Slag is a impure chemical residue generally composed of aluminium, iron , calcium and magnesium silicates etc which are formed during the extraction of metals in smelting processes. Simply it is a waste material that is removed.

While, the flux is the compound which is added to molten metal to remove impurities as it binds with impurities and from the slag which is insoluble and filtered out.
