Do you think that Mr.Bunting and Mr.Cuss and the society are getting in the invisible man's way and forcing him to give them what they really deserve? (chap 11 The Invisible Man)
Mr Bunting and Mr Cuss were prying through the private articles of the invisible man or as Griffin termed them, 'an investigator's private memoranda' and invading the private rooms of a man in misfortune. Although it was abominable to root through someone else's belongings but it was also somewhat necessary on their part to find out more about the invisible scourge that was plaguing their town and lives. The vicar and the doctor were scared for their own safety, they along with the other members of the society were held responsible for getting in the way of the Invisible Man. However, it was a necessary evil because the Invisible Man was becoming more cruel and intrepid by the day, they had to brook the reign of terror that he would have established if allowed to go unheeded.
