Does acid rain effect our skin?? how explain?

Open in App
Solution

Acid rains are caused when the oxides of nitrogen and sulphur dissolve in rainwater. These oxides are released into the atmosphere when fossil fuels are burnt. Mild acid rain does not produce much harmful effects. Under high acidic condition, the skin gets burned. It can also cause some skin blisters and irritation. Recent researches link the risk of getting skin cancer to acid rain.
