No grass does not belong to thallophyta as thallophyta do not possess roots, stems, leaves and do not produce flowers, seeds or fruits, where as grass possess root systems and small, inconspicuous flowers.

Thallophytes, bryophytes and pteridophytes are all cryptogams, i.e., spore-producing plants.
