Explain the importance of radio and television as effective means of mass communication?
Radio and television are the most primary means of mass communication. Even before the advent of the television, the radio was the ultimate source and means of mass communication. Awareness about political events, scientific breakthroughs, disasters and wars were all spread through the radio. The radio had brought the world closer and made communication and broadcast that much easier. With the coming of the television, picture could also be broadcasted along with sound. It opened up a whole new dimension of spreading awareness as well as entertainment. Even till date, the television remains the ultimate means of mass communication and broadcast.
