The brahmin cleverly told the tiger to open the door of the cage and let him out so he can show how he got trapped. After coming out, he asked the tiger to step inside the cage as he had done. The foolish tiger did as he was told and once he was inside, the brahmin quickly closed the door of the cage, thus trapping the tiger inside the cave.
