Give reason: A balloon collapses when air is removed from it.

Because air inside the balloon occupies some space and when the air is removed from the balloon it collapses as there is no air inside the balloon. Also air exerts some pressure on the walls of the balloon this pressure balance the contraction of the balloon. when air is removed from the balloon there is no such pressure and the balloon collapses
